Date as an index field : Format
Dokmee DMS: When a date is setup as an index field, the format is MM/DD/YYYY. There is no option to specify the date format. In Europe, we are using DD/MM/YYYY. This creates some issues when using Dokmee Capture into Dokmee DMS (Date extraction from Capture DD/MM/YYYY then pushed into DMS as index field MM/DD/YYYY). An option to specify the format of the date would be a great feature to be added to Dokmee DMS.

This is similar to a problem we are facing. Our client (accounting department of an organisation) is requesting the date to be in DD/MM/YYYY format as they have all the present filing, documents, invoices in this format (European format). It seems that the MM/DD/YYYY format is going to cause issues with the auditors when the time comes. We would like to see this feature very very urgently.

Hello, We also have a client who wants the date of the document recognized by Capture to be integrated into DMS. All automation is blocked by a date format of type 28/06/2016 which is not convertible to MM / DD / YYYY. We told our client that this point was soon to be resolved, thinking that it was only parameter setting. I am surprised to see that this is actually an incompatibility with the European date format.

The patch provided recently allows a bypass to send CAPTURE / DMS but does not solve the problem of entering index in DMS which remains in DD / MM / YYYY format unusable in France.

The Date keep change to DD/MM/YYYY when export to DMS but it works in Capture. Please Assist to resolved the case ASAP Our team had reversed date. The templates already configured as MM/DD/YYYY, as well regional settings at clients & Server. Dokmee Capture actually export the date as MM/DD/YYYY.

Dates in both Dokmee DMS and Dokmee Capture are stored in UTC in SQL. This allows us to manipulate the date to display based on the local PC regional date selection on the OS. When uploading from Capture to DMS, it will pull indexes from the Capture SQL database in UTC format and push to DMS SQL database in UTC format, so it really shouldn’t matter how the user is entering the data in the index module on the UI. The dates should be transposed to DMS correctly with month and day because in the database it is in UTC format.
